Valentine's Day 2009

My girls love Valentine's day because Josh doesn't think it's a real holiday so I just focus on my girls and spoil them! They wake up to Valentine donuts and some little treasures.

It's tradition @ our house to get heart shaped pizza for dinner on Valentine's.

Ok so if you were feeling sad at all for me (about Josh not believing in Valentine's hee hee) our ward had a prom that we went to that night. We didn't dance but we loved being together!

Ashlyn got glasses! January 2009

The first of December Ashlyn started complaining that her eyes hurt. Then right before Christmas break her teacher emailed me and said that Ashlyn was squinting at the board. So the 1st of January I took Ashlyn in for an eye appointment and sure enough....she needed glasses! I guess her eyes were pretty bad. I felt like the worst mother ever, but REALLY she only started complaining in December. The doctor told us the glasses would take 7-10 days to get here. Ashlyn was so excited. She asked me to bring them to school to her if they came while she was gone. Of course they did! So I went to her classroom and had her come out to the hall. We talked about keeping them safe...(On your face or in your case!...the nurse taught us that. Thanks Jill!!!) and then I put them on her and told her to look down the hall. When she did she yelled, "HOLY COW!!!" She could see everything! She came home later that day telling me things that she had seen in her classroom that she never new were there before! I wish I could have seen what she was seeing. Anyways, I think she is adorable in her cute purple glasses. And I am just so grateful that my little lady can see good now~!

We always have SO much fun when The McLay's come to visit. We always stay up too late playing games,eat to much sugar,and laugh until we almost pee our pants, but it is worth every second of it! This visit they got to come in and see our new furniture store, go to Cottonwood Park, Pirate Pizza, and race wiggle cars. It was a blast and we can't wait for them to come again!

Kaylee's in CTR 6 January 2009

I can't believe my BABY is in CTR 6! Kaylee was a little nervous becuase she was getting a new teacher and her CTR 5 teacher was AMAZING!!! But after I sat with her in sharing time (I don't know if that will ever change, but that is a whole other story) she went to class by herself. When I picked her up after church she was SO excited! She loved her new teacher and she got a CoOl new CTR ring!
