Mom & Dad receive their mission call 8-15-2008

Well mom & dad received their mission call to the West Indies! They leave October 6th and will be serving for 23 months. We are really excited for them but are going to miss them like crazy!!! It's just hard to think of them NOT being here for all my girls birthday's that are coming up this fall and the holidays and Ashlyn's baptism. I know that our family will be blessed becuase of their decision to serve but it sure doesn't make it any easier.

Letting go......8-15-2008

Ashlyn begged us last year to ride the bus and Josh & I were so against it! We want to make sure our sweet little girl gets to school safely in a seat belt, not hearing any bad language, being bullied, or seeing anything she shouldn't! YES....we are very overprotective! Well we finally decided this year to let her try it (secretly hoping she would hate it....um didn't happen!) I still have to watch her climb safely on the bus and then I am there to greet her as she comes of the bus each day. It is so hard for me to let go of my kids. I just want to keep them sheltered from all the bad/scary things of this world, but I guess if I did that they would never learn how to deal with the real world. I'm thinking that I will always be a mother hen maybe just off in the distance sometimes...just in case they need me!

My beautiful Jayden 8-13-2008

Oh how I love this sweet little girl! She is SO fun to be around. I would say that 99% of the time she is happy & easy going. She is a wonderful big sister as far as being a great example and a friend. She will pretty much always take time out to play with her younger sisters. She is also such a great helper to me with cleaning & babysitting. I love you SO much Jayden and appreciate all that you do!

Kaylee starts gymnastics 8-12-2008

Kaylee LOVES gymnastics!! She has always been a little monkey so this is great for her to go & burn up some energy and climb on things that are safe!
